Guwahati : In a rather odd incentive, the Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday announced half-day leave for state govt employees, should they choose to watch “The Kashmir Files” - a Bolywood movie themed on communal lines.
Earlier in the day, the CM along with his cabinet members, watched the movie at a theatre in Guwahati.
Those wishing to avail the state-sponsored absence must inform their superior officers and submit the movie ticket in proof on the next day they report to work. Incidentally, several BJP-ruled states have waived tax on the movie.
