Thiruvananthapuram : Youth Congress state president KS Sabarinadhan has been arrested in connection with the attempted assassination of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan onboard Kannur – Thiruvananthapuram flight on 16 June. The arrest was recorded after questioning him at SP office in Shankumugam. The government prosecutor informed court of his arrest amid the hearing of his anticipatory bail plea.
In the official WhatsApp group of Youth Congress, It was Sabarinath who gave call for inflight attack on Chief Minister . “CM is coming by Kannur – Tvm flight. If only two persons board the plane and wave black flat….it would not be possible to throw them off the flight anyway,” read the former MLA,s message prior to the attempt.
Youth Congress president Shafi Parambil is the group admin. He is too is due for questioning .
