Bihar> Several trains were cancelled and many others were diverted due to flood water touched the girder of a bridge in Bihar's Bhagalpur district on Sunday. The East Central Railway announced that, as a result of the flood water affecting bridge 195 between Sultanganj and Ratanpur stations, multiple trains have been cancelled, and the routes of several other travelling through the Jamalpur-Bhagalpur division have been redirected.
The flood water reached the girder of the bridge at 11:45 PM on Saturday. Additionally, in some areas of the Jamalpur-Bhagalpur division, rivers are flowing dangerously. The cancelled trains include the Patna-Dumka Express, Saraigarh-Deoghar Special, Jamalpur-Kiul Memu Special, and Bhagalpur-Danapur Intercity Express.
Trains that are diverted include the Ajmer-Bhagalpur Express, Vikramshila Express, Howrah-Gaya Express, Surat-Bhagalpur SF Express, Anand Vihar-Malda Town Express, and Brahmaputra Mail, and atleast four trains were short-terminated.
