Hyderabad > BLACK day was observed in Hyderabad by the Left parties on December 6, protesting against the demolition of Babri mosque at Ayodhya 25 years back by the Sangh Parivar. A meeting was organised at Press Club in Basheerbagh where leaders of the Left parties called upon the Left, progressive and democratic forces to unitedly fight against the Hindutva fascistic forces and the danger from them to national unity and integrity and for protection of democracy and secularism.
They expressed serious concern that if the BJP comes to power again, there would be black days in the country every day. Narrating several instances, the Left leaders found fault with the NDA government for the attacks on dalits and minorities. Aziz Pasha of the CPI presided over the meeting. Leaders of the Left parties Nandyala Narsimha Reddy, D G Narasimha Rao (state secretariat members of the CPI(M)), Chada Venkat Reddy (state secretary of the CPI), Murahari (SUCI), M Asok (MCPI(U)), Janaki Ramulu (RSP) and others addressed the meeting.
