MANGALURU : CPI leader Binoy Viswam has been arrested in Mangaluru following Left protests there against the Citizenship Amendment Act, 2019.
The police cited curfew violation to make the arrest.
There demonstrations began morning at Lal Baug area. There is curfew clamped on Mangaluru, where two persons were killed in police firing amid protests on Thursday.
CPI(M) State Secretary Sunderashan too has been taken into custody alongside Viswam.
