New Delhi : Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan called on Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar, visiting him at official residence at 6 Maulana Azad Road in Delhi. Talks revolved arround development of Kerala and the country.
The Vice President praised the the high social development index of Kerala, calling it a proud achievement. The Chief Minister invited the Vice President for a visit to Kerala, which he happily agreed. The Vice President said, the principal and teachers at Saink School during his student days were Malayalis and a visit to Kerala would be made soon.
Chief Minister draped ponnada(traditional shawl) around the Vice President and presented a one-piece sculpture of Theyyam in gift. CM and the Vice President then had breakfast together before parting.
This is the Chief Minister's first visit after the new Vice President assumed office. Chief Secretary Dr. V.P. Joy and Kerala House Resident Commissioner Saurabh Jain were also attendees.
