Shimla : Cloudburst in Himachal’s Kullu early Tuesday morning triggered flash floods that inundated roads and swept away a footbridge and three makeshift sheds including that of a liquor outlet. The cloudburst occurred in Tosh Nallah area of Manikaran in Kullu district early Tuesday morning. No fatalities were reported.
Authorities appealed to people to stay away from rivers and rivulets. Seven districts are on Orange Alert for heavy to very heavy rain accompanied with thunderstorms and lightning on Wednesday.
Possibility of landslides and floods are forewarned for areas of Kullu, Solan, Sirmaur, Shimala and Kinnaur districts.
