NEW DELHI: Congress has lost its organisational structure right from foundation level, the evidence of which reflected during Assembly bypolls in several states and recent Bihar Elections, said party veteran P Chidambaram in his interview with Hindi daily ‘Dainik Bhaskar’.
Only a party with organisational structure can emerge winner in elections, said Chidambaram. Congress should have contested just 45 seats in Bihar. The Mahaghatbandan(MGM) was on the verge of victory. It is party’s lack of organisational structure that resulted in loss on seats. Where would Congress be positioned post polls in Kerala, Bengal, Assam and Tamil Nadu, remains to be seen. Anyone outside the Gandhi family is eligible to contest AICC President post, said Chidambaram.
Meanwhile, Congress Lok Sabha leader Adheer Ranjan rebutted discontent saying, anyone critical of the leadership should join some other political outfit or form his own party.
