Web Desk(Tvm)Updated: Wednesday May 11, 2022

New Delhi : CPI(M) welcomes Supreme Court stand against sedition law, said the party General Secretary Sitaram Yechury. CPI(M) at all times opposed  sedition charges as under section 124(a). The British brought this law into being in order to suppress freedom movement. The law  finds wide abuse in Modi governance, said Yechury.

CPI(M) takes serious view on widespread violence associated with  Ram Navami and Hanuman Jayanti. Peace must prevail in the country.  Happening now in Shahinbaug is evictions targeting one particular community. It’s Bulldozer Raj happening   there. Rehabilitating people must come before  evictions,  said Yechury.
