The accident took place near Sarlambe village under Shahpur tehsil around 80 km from Mumbai. The special purpose mobile gantry crane is routinely used in bridge construction to install precast box girders on structure.
Team of police, fire brigande and National Disaster Response Force(NDTF) reached the site soon after the accident. Authorities fear at least six more to being trapped under the debris.
