Imphal : With communal rioting in Manipur escalating, the government imposed curfew in Imphal yet again. The mobile-internet ban in State has been extended up to 5 July. Tensions are high in most regions.
With view to conflict levels, it has been decided to further coordinate the military deployments. The conflict-prone zones will likely be handed into jurisdiction of army and paramilitary till situation eases.
Meanwhile, holiday has been announced for schools till 8th of July.
