Jaipur: In a shocking incident, a 22-year-old dalit youth in Rajasthan’s Alwar was burnt alive by his toddy shop owner boss  for asking wage arrears. The gruesome crime took place on Saturday night.

Kamal, who worked at the local toddy shop, had not received his salary for over five months. Failing to get his pay despite repeated requests, he went away home on Saturday. Irked, the shop owner Subhash and his friend Rakesh Yadhav reached Kamal’s home and persuaded him to return, assuring that he would get his longstanding dues. When Kamal accompanied the men to the shop, they attacked him, beating him brutally and doused him with petrol and set him ablaze.

Kamal’s brother  lodged a complaint with the police about his  disappearance. When cops came to inspect the toddy shop, they found charred remains of Kamal tucked inside a freezer there. The culprits are currently absconding.
