New Delhi : Three years after death of the aggrieved party, the Republic TV Editor-in-Chief, Arnab Goswami says he will offer unconditional apology in the defamation case. The defamation petition came from Environment activist and head of The Energy and Resources Institute, RK Pachuri. Arnab’s lawyer informed court that his affidavit with apology shall be submitted within a week’s time.
Backdrop : RK Pachauri had filed defamation case in February of 2016 against meida spreading unfounded stories of a sexual assault complaint against him. and later a contempt case against "media trial" despite court restricting it. Pachauri passed away in 2020.
