Rage : Police and lawyers clash in court premises : Delhi

Delhi : A row over parking in Delhi's Tis Hazari Court on Saturday spiked into full-blown clash between police and lawyers. Two lawers were injured in the incident and police vehicles were set on fire.
 

According to lawyers, while there took place arguments over parking, a cop without provocation pulled his gun out and began firing.
 

In the violence that followed, a  police jeep was set ablaze and eight jail vans were vandalised.

One lawyer, with swollen wrist, claimed he was beaten with batons, while another is hospitalised from injuries following the shoot out.

Following the violence,a  lawyer's strike has been called across Delhi district courts on 4 Nov. and the Bar Council of India has demanded that "guilty" police officials be arrested immediately and suspended.

The Delhi police is yet to respond to the allegation.
