NEW DELHI : A massive fire broke out in the slums of Delhi’s Tughlakabad shortly after midnight. The fire was a major one and 30 fire tenders that reached the scene at 1 a.m. took more than two hours to bring the flames under control.
Around 1200 slums were caught in the fire, said Rajendra Prasad Meena, Deputy Commissioner of Police,(South East Delhi). No casualties have been reported so far and firefighting operations are still underway. The cause of fire is yet to be ascertained.
