Srinagar :An encounter between Army and militants broke out in Jammu Kashmir’s Kupwara district for the 2nd time in three days today. Three soldiers were injured in the early dawn gunfight and one terrorist killed. The attack on Indian Army along Line of Control(LoC) in Kupwara was perpetrated by Pakistan’s Border Action Team(BAT).

According to sources, a group of roughly 40 – 50 Pakistani terrorists are hiding in the upper reaches of Jammu Kashmir’s mountainous districts and military has launched an extensive operation to flush them out. These terrorists who infiltrated into the region are reportedly well trained and armed with some of the most modern and sophisticated weapons,  including US-made M4 Carbine Rifles.
