NEW DELHI: : In reaction to government proposals placed today, the farmers shifted their protest focus to corporates - the ultimate beneficiaries of the contentious farm laws. Declaring their fight as one against the corporates too, the leaders called for a total boycott of JIO products including its SIMs. Reports suggest the vow to boycott JIO would be permanent.
Early in the protest, scores of protesters had crushed to pieces JIO SIMs publicly. Leaders called on the farming community to refrain from refueling at JIO petrol pumps. Protesters claim the detrimental farm laws are designed to benefit the Adanis, Ambanis and such mega corporates at cost of farmers’ wellbeing and survival.
