Agartala :Breakdown of law and order continues unabated for the 11th straight day after election results in Tripura. Houses are set on fire in several parts of the hilly state. BJP gangs continue to attack leaders and workers of Opposition parties. Five shops in Udaipur’s Atharbula were torched causing damages in lakhs.
Tension looms in Kovai district where a CPI(M)worker’s house was set on fire on Sunday. In Bishalgarh, where BJP gangs attacked MPs, the journalists lay siege to office of the district police chief over beating up of reporters. Houses were burnt on widescale in Belonia district.
Meanwhile, a BJP MLA from Nalchar, Subhash Chandradas, lodged complain of death threat from his own Partymen. There took place a murder attempt on the MLA and his two sons on Saturday.
