New Delhi Former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and senior AAP leader, Manish Sisodia, who walked out Tihar jail on Friday after 17 months, took to X Saturday morning posting a picture of himself and wife captioned “First Morning Tea Of Independence”.
Sisodia was granted bail yesterday evening. He was arrested by CBI in February 2023 in connection with alleged irregularities in framing and implementation of the now-scrapped Delhi excise policy.
After his release from jail, Sisodia went to meet with family of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal. He credited the Constitution written by Babasaheb Ambedkar for his release and said he was confident that CM too will soon walk out a free man.
AAP leaders Atishi and Sanjay Singh were among others who accompanied Sisodia as he walked to a celebration outside the jail by RWA wing of AAP and party workers.
