New Delhi : Flights and train services to and from Bangladesh were cancelled amid escalating unrest following Prime Minister Sheik Hasina’s resignation on Monday and subsequent fleeing from the country.
Air India state on X that all flights to and from Dhaka were cancelled with immediate effect owing to protest situation in Bangladesh and offered waiver of charges to passengers to reschedule or cancel journey against confirmed bookings.
IndiGo reiterated similar sentiment and announced grounding its to and from Dhaka flights.
Indian Railways too announced suspension of train services between India and Bangladesh, cancelling Maitri Express, Bandhan Express and Mithali Express for indefinite period. Cargo trains services too remain suspended.
