Gang-rape in Manipur Yet Again

Imphal : Police in Manipur registered yet another case in riot-torn Manipur. The incident took place on May 3, when a 37-year-old woman was raped by a gang of men in Churachandpur.

This time, the woman belonged to the Meitei community. There took place a confrontation between the Kuki and Meiteis earlier on the same day. The case of rape was registered yesterday.
