NEW DELHI : Public sector giants Bharat Petroleum Corporation(BPCL) and Air India will be sold by March, 2020, said Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. The strategic disinvestment is meant to meet govt’s receipts target of Rs 1 lakh crore for the ongoing fiscal year, she said.
She revealed the sale plan in the course of an interview with Times of India.
Last year, the loss-making airline’s sale was aborted owing to tepid response from investors.
