NEW DELHI :  CPI(I) state committee on Wednesday, slammed claims that the Shiv Sena-Congress-NCP aka Maha Vikas Agadhi(MVA) coalition was backed the Left  party.

In Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari’s letter to Uddhav Thackeray, CPI(M) was listed as one among the supporters for the new  MVA alliance. That inclusion is  a hoax, CPI(M) asserted.

No MLA or worker from CPI(M) was present at the crucial trio-combine meeting convened on 26 Nov at Hotel Trident, to seal the alliance, the committee  clarified.

The governor should be removed from the top post for his unlawful conduct, it demanded.

In the Maharastra turmoil, the governor bypassed all democratic norms and played partisan politics at beck and call of the Prime Minister and BJP chief Amit Shah, said the CPI(M) committee.

Refering to the situation on hand CPI(M) said, the Left does not however oppose the new govt formed by Congress, Shiv Sena and NCP with a view to keep BJP at bay.

The newly formed govt should usher in a total change in administration, from that of its predecessor BJP , it added.
