Doha : Taliban flip-flops on its earlier stance, now saying it had the right to speak for Muslims living in any part of the world including those in Kashmir. The statement came from Taliban spokesperson Suhail Shaheen in an interview with BBC Urdu.
India is yet to respond on Taliban's changed viewpoint aired by Suhail. India’s External Affairs Ministry held talks with the Taliban spokesman earlier and urged to prevent Afghanistan from being used as pad for terror activities. The Taliban representative has assured addressing India’s anxieties, the External Affairs Ministry had said of the talks at the time. The talks were held on request from the Taliban.
