Higher PF Pension; EPFO Puts Applicants in Limbo Yet Again

Web Desk‌Updated: Wednesday Apr 12, 2023

Kochi : The Employee Provident Fund Organisation(EPFO) poses hassle for applicants for higher pension yet again.  The Supreme Court verdict of 2022 t paved way for those seeking higher pension over contributions  and in service on 1 Sept 2014 or since, surpassing  earlier basic pay  ceilings of  Rs 5000/ Rs  6500..

But the latest hassle one grapples while trying to apply online is that,  EPFO site asks for last page of their e-passbook and no one is able to download that document, at least for the past few days.

Precisely, the system asks to upload the last page of their e-passbook. But when applicants try to download the book, everybody hits a dead end  with screen display of “404 error”.

Several pensioners’ organisations have alerted EPFO that if the server problem is not fixed, several applicants would be unable to see their application through before the deadline of 3 May, 2023.
