New Delhi : The Hindu community, at war for years, has now awakened. The Muslims can exist safely here, if they give up their idea of supremacy, said RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat . “Attacks” are natural to war. War must continue against foreign incursions, influence and conspiracies, said Bhagwat He speaking at an interview with editors of RSS publications.
The Hindu community is on verge of a war to preserve Hinduism and culture. This war is not with enemies outside. Rather it’s one with enemies from within. At this point, we do not have foreign invaders. However, conspiracies and influences based outside continue and in this war, it is okay to be letting on zeal. Though unwarranted, provocative statements against this continue however.
Hindustan must remain as Hindustan. There’s no problem in Muslim continuing to be here. If they wish to return to faith of their forefathers, so be it. The Hindus are not strict on that count. At the same time, Muslims must give up their idea that they are ‘smarter’. Everybody should give up thoughts such as - We were rulers here; We are superior; We are different etc.
RSS consciously distances itself from day-to-day politics and involvement is confined to national policies and Hindu interests, said Bhagwat.
Earlier, Swamam Sevaks remained outside the political power circle. That’s not the case today. Swayam Sevaks now attain their posts through political party. RSS is responsible for what they carry out. Even in days when Swam Sevaks were outside the power ambit, there were individuals who listened to our perspective, said Bhagwat, adding the bombshell revelation that, when Pranab Mukherjee was minister, he listened to RSS concerns on the Nepal issue.
