MUMBAI : The meeting of Shiv Sena-NCP-Congress delegation with Maharashtra governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari, scheduled to take place at 4.30 pm today, has been called off the last minute.

The trio had announced forming coalition to run the next government in the state, which is presently under President’s Rule.

According to sources NCP Chief Sharad Pawar will meet Sonia Gandhi in Delhi tomorrow and discuss on the Common Minimum Program(CMP) spanning the coalition agenda.

The delegation was to discuss farmer and youth issues with the governor at Raj Bhavan today , after announcing their stake to form govt.

The reasons behind the pull back is not immediately clear.

The state went under President’s rule on Tuesday after no party or alliance could establish support of adequate number of  MLAs to form the govt.  The BJP-Shiv Sena pre-poll alliance fetched 161 seats together, but they parted ways over claim to chief ministership in the state.
