NEW DELHI: India’s commercial capital, Mumbai, has crossed China’s COVID-19 tally of 82,968 confirmed cases registering 83,036 so far. The state reported 3,007 new cases on Sunday and remains the worst-hit state in the country.
And, India’s covid total, amid reopening, crossed 2.5 lakh on Sunday going by data released by the state governments across the country.
Tamil Nadu came up with 1515 new cases on Sunday and 18 more deaths taking the infection and death totals so far to 31,667 and 269 respectively.
Delhi, where life has returned to near normal, has 27,654 cases on record so far including 761 deaths from the virus.
Gujarat put its infection figures at 19,592 with 1,219 deaths up to now.
