Special CorrespondentUpdated: Monday Apr 12, 2021

Thiruvananthapuram : There is growing demand within BJP  to resume talks with protesting farmers camped on borders of Delhi. The centre should become willing to hold dialogue with farmers with covid situation worsening, said Haryana Home Minister to Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Thomar.

The Haryana minister’s change of heart comes over growing resentment for  BJP government in the state. A large majority within BJP worries that prolonged farmers’ protest might render political setback to the party. The  resistance  to holding talks comes from Modi and Amt Shah. No talks have been initiated with the  farmers after  untoward  incidents on the Republic Day.
