New Delhi : In the G20 Summit hosted by India, the Central government yet again christened the country as “Bharat”. The title plaque to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s seat at the summit read “Bharat” instead of “India”.
Earlier, the G20 invites sent to foreign delegates was signed as from “President of Bharat” and not “President of India”. The handbook delivered to invitee delegates was labeled “Bharat, The Mother of Democracy”. Soon after this, the intimation note informing Prime Minister’s visit to Indonesia for ASEAN Conference too read “Prime Minister of Bharat”.
The name-changing spree took grip after RSS Chief Moan Bhagwat issued directive asking to stop using “India” in all places possible and replace it with the “Bharat” instead.
