New Delhi : The India-Canada relations hit a new low with India, for at least now, grounding visa services for Canadian citizens. Both countries had earlier expelled one another’s diplomats.
Relations started to sour after murder of Khalistan leader in British Columbia in June and Canada accusing involvement of Indian government agents for the crime. Following this, the Indian govt asked Indian citizens register themselves. Visa consultancy service provider BLS International said the notice from Indian mission cited “operational reasons” for suspension of visa services “till further notice”.
