Mining tycoon Harpal Randhawa and his 12-year-old son Amer were among the six killed in a plane crash in Zimbabwe on Friday. The crash took place close to a diamond mine in Mahawa in Zvamahande, situated in the southwestern party of the country.
The plane, a Cessna 206 owned by Randhawa’s company RioZim, was travelling from Harare to Murowa mine when the accident occurred. The Murowa diamond mine is patly owned by RioZim. Preliminary investigations point to a technical fault with the aircraft. All occupants including crew on board lost their lives.
