NEW DELHI : A journalist with JK 24x7 News Channel is in critical condition after being shot at by Sangh Parivar man in Delhi, where clashes between pro-CAA and anti-CAA groups turned violent since Sunday. The journo sustained bullet wounds in Maujpur while covering clashes and arson. Four reporters belonging to NDTV channel were beaten up while trying to film a mosque set on fire. The crew were identified as Avrind Gnashekaran, Saurab Shukla, Mariyam Alvi and Sreenivasan Jain.
In a tweet, NDTV;s Executive Editor Nidhi Razdan wrote, the mob stopped beating them only on realizing they were Hindus.
Elsewhere in Delhi, Aunidya Chattopadhyay , a photojournalist with the Times of India, wrote, he was approached by a Hindu Sena member who tried to put a Tilak on his forehead to make his job easier. He was later asked why was trying to take a picture of mosque on fire, since he was a Hindu. The men then threatened to remove his pants and ‘verify religion’.
