New Delhi : The Enforcement Directorate(ED) raids Aam Aadmi Party’s Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh’s residence in connection with Delhi liquor policy case. Earlier on 9 March, ED had arrested AAP leader and Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia in the case.
Earlier, Sanjay Singh was suspended from attending the monsoon session of the Parliament over protest he raised on the Manipur issue in Rajya Sabha. The suspension came up after he allegedly ignored the Chair’s instructions continually. Post the suspension, Singh held protest inside the Parliament premises following which, the INDIA alliance came out in his support. Meanwhile, the AAP leadership called the raid a retaliation for raising Adani issue in parliament.
