Fatehabad(HARYANA): : A massive rally was taken out in Fatehabad to herald formation of mega opposition comprising all Opposition parties including the Left and Congress with aim to defeat BJP’ in the General Elections of 2024. The rally commemorated 109th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Devi Lal.
Partaking in the rally were : Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy Prime Minister Tejaswi Yadav, CPI(M) General Secretary Sitaram Yechur, NCPA Presient Sharad Pawar, Akali Dal leader and former Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir singh Badal, INL leader and former Haryana Chief Minister Omprakash Chautala.
This is not onset of a third front. Rather it is formation of one front against BJP, said Nitish Kumar. Congress and the Left will be part of this front that will singularly focus on putting an end to BJP’s misrule and downtrodding of the democracy, said Nitish. Kerala model of closing down BJP account should be patterned after in all states, said CPI(M) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury at the rally, adding that, the red flag will stand by any struggle that seeks to defeat communal forces. BJP should be ousted in 2024, said Tejaswi Yadav. More parties should join hands against BJP, said Sharad Pawar.
