Thiruvananthapuram > Malayalam film actor Vijayan Peringod passed away at Palakkad today following heart related ailments.
He was 67 and is survived by wife and three children, family sources said. Known for his small but notable roles in many blockbuster movies, Vijayan was a permanent presence in the films of
hitmakers like Lal Jose and Sathyan Anthikad.
The actor entered the film industry through the movie "Asthram", helmed by veteran director P N Menon in the year 1983.
He later essayed notable roles in over 40 films, including "Meesamadhavan", "Mambazham", "Pattalam", "Achuvinte Amma" and "Rakshadhikari Baiju" in his over three-decades-long career.
