Manipur > In Manipur, two young men from the Meitei community who were abducted by Kukis during the conflict have been rescued. They were taken hostage on September 27 while attempting to take an exam for central services. Chief Minister Biren Singh confirmed that both are currently in the custody of the Manipur police.

The Kukis have set conditions for the release of hostages, including the release of 11 Kukis held in Imphal jail and the release of Mark Havokip, who is in NIA custody. However, the government has not fully accepted their demands.
