New Delhi : Congress Deputy Leader of the Lok Sabha Gaurva Goi on Wednesday file Notice for No-confidence Motion in connection  with Manipur riots. The Notice was filed on behalf of broader alliance of the Opposition parties. The Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s Bharat Rashtra Samiti(BRS) Party also issued similar Notice that was filed in the House by BRS MP Nama Nageswara Rao.

Meanwhile, the Lok Sabha came to a standstill yet again with Opposition protesting and demanding that House be adjourned until  Manipur riots are tabled for discussion.

The No-trust Motion demanded that the Prime Minister give his statement to happenings  in Manipur - a demand the Opposition placed right from the beginning of this Monsoon Session of Parliament. That demand continues to be stonewalled with govt saying the Home Minister will speak about it.

Rallying behind the no-trust Motion to seek PM’s word  on Manipur are : DMK MP Tiruchi Siva, RJD MP Manoj Kumar Jha, Congress MPs Rajeev Shukla, Ranjeet Ranjan and AAP MP Raghav Chadha.
