Bhopal : The homeward travel for migrant labourers proved horrific once again, the third to happen this month, as the truck in which they were traveling was hit by a speeding bus in Madhya Pradesh’s Guna. Like the 2 accidents that took place earlier, all of them were asleep when tragedy struck.
The collision occurred early this morning 3 a.m. as the truck headed to Uttar Pradesh carrying migrants workers from Maharashtra. There were around 70 labourers onboard truck when the bus crashed in at a bypass road in Guna. Around 55-60 suffered injuries. The bus had only a driver and cleaner, said police.
All labourers were natives of Unnao in Uttar Pradesh and had climbed in from Mumbai. We are making efforts to reach them to Unnao, said police.
