New Delhi : The Modi government lavished a whopping Rs 6506.46 crores in advertising since coming to power in 2014, the breakup translates to Rs 3230.82 on print media ads and Rs 6275.64 crores on visual.
The data was given out by by Minister Anurag Singh Thakur in response to a question raised by M Selvaraj in the Lok Sabha.
Of the total Rs 6506.46 crores, Rs 3723.38 crore rupees were spent in the last five years alone. The other year publicity spends are : 1220.89 crore in 2017-18, 1106.88 crore in 2018-19, 627.67 crore in 2019-20, 349.09 crore in 2020-21, 264.78 crore in 2021-22 and 154.07 crore in 2022-23.
