New Delhi : With war conditions in Israel escalating, India institutes special mission to fly in its stranded citizens. The rescue operation named “Operation Ajay” begins today and the Central govt has assured fetching back every Indian who might be stranded in Israel, the External Affairs informed on Twitter’s X Platform.
Special charter flights and others are in place to do this, this, the Minister wrote. A 24-hour control room is monitoring the situation close. The flight with first batch of Indians will take off at 11:30 pm (IST) today.
Meanwhile the first batch of Malayali pilgrims in Israel have returned on their own. Back in Israel, the Indian Embassy sent out email messages to all Indians who have registered for special flight. The first of flights has already taken off to Israel.
There are 18,000 Indians awaiting rescue. Besides, the Indian immigrants in Israel too have requested for rescue. The External Affairs Minister said the govt will extend help to them as well.
