Opposition MPs Protest In Parliament Premises On Adani Issue

New Delhi : Opposition MPs protested at the Parliament premises calling for a Joint Parliament Committee(JPC) probe or Supreme Court-monitored investigations into grave allegations raised by U.S.- based investment research firm, Hindenburg.

The Oppn. MPs protested in front of the Gandhi statue at the complex, after a closed-door meeting Monday morning to decide on House strategy for the day. Holding banners and placard,  the MPs pointed out that Adani scams held serious implications for commoners as public money of LIC and SBI has been hugely invested with Adani Group.

Oppn. Parties that participated in the Monday morning meeting in Leader of Oppn Mallikarjun Kharge’s chamber, were  :  CPI(M), CPI,  RSP, APP,  DMK, NCP, BRS,  JDU,  SP,  JMM, RLD,  AAP,  IUML,  RJD and Shiv Sena.
Trinamool Congress members were absent at the meeting, but showed up at the protest later with other MPs from the Opposition.
