Hyderabad : Four people were killed and one injured in Amberpet, when the wall of a wedding hall collapsed.
The incident took place at Pearl Garden hall at Golnaka in Hyderabad’s Amberpet around 2 pm, on Sunday. Post lunch, few guests stood by the wall in the parking lot when the wall suddenly came down.
Two autorickshaws and 10 2-wheelers were also damaged. Rescue teams of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) reached the scene and cleared debris to rescue the victims.
Thos dead were identified as Vijaylaxmi, Krishna, Sohail and Suresh. Majeed continues to be critical in Osmania General Hospital.
Police have registered a case, against the owner the hall owner, Nawaz, under Section 304A - Negligence Causing Death). He is reportedly absconding.
According to police there was renovation done without permission from the authorities.
