New Delhi : Report tabled by Pegasus probe committee appointed by Supreme Court is one that reinforces our worst fears, said MP John Brittas. The committee confirms there occurred intrusion into people’s privacy. Of the 29 mobiles examined, the presence of spyware was detected in all, says the report.
Though it is not confirmed if the cyber weapon detected in the mobiles is indeed Pegasus, the ramifications it holds are grave. An observation more shocking has come from the apex court. The Central govt was not cooperative with its probe committee, the Supreme Court said.
Reading between lines makes one thing evident- cyber weaponry has been employed to subdue political rivals and to subvert democracy. With the Chief Justice now retiring, one can only wait and watch what happens over this, wrote John Brittas on his Facebook page.
