New Delhi : Delhi police now prevents Party classes too from being held at Surjeet Bhavan - the CPI(M)’s study and research centre. The ban comes imposed by Delhi Police.
Police are gearing up to block an event that would be attended by CPI(M) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury. The ban comes on pretext of G20 summit with police informing that the scheduled classes cannot be conducted.
Two days back, the police had blocked “V20” seminar from happening at the venue. The cops locked the gates of Surjeet Bhavan and barricaded the entrance stopping all who arrived for the seminar. That blockade was in the name of lacking prior permission.
Yechury had reacted to the incident deploring it and saying, even seminars cannot be organised freely under Modi’s regime, adding that, there will be legal action over what happened.
