Kochi : The banned Popular Front of India(PFI) has a secret wing and has prepared hitlist with names of those from outside the community, said National Investigation Agency (NIA).
The outfit operations around its organisational offices, the NIA told court seeking extension to remand period of the arrested leaders.
The remand period of the accused is now extended to another 90 days. The secret service wing of PFI has statewide network and is entrusted with job of collection information and preparing hitlist. The NNIA also said there were evidences to IS links the leaders had.
NIA conducted raids of PFI offices and leaders’ residences in September. The arrests were made on grounds of funding terrorism and illegal supply of weapons.
