New Delhi : RSS Chief Mahajan Bhagwat singles out a particular community as target for his hate speech. In his speech, Bhagwat said there is need for a comprehensive population control measure, given that there is quantum rise in population of one particular community.
It is a longtime false propaganda of Sangh Parivar how the Muslim population in the country grows by leaps and bounds while Hindu population continues to fall. However, government population statistics now tell quite a different story.
As per Family Health Survey of 2019 -21 data, a Hindu woman’s birthing rate (no. of children produced) figures at 1.94 percent while that of Muslim woman is 2.34, pointing to a miniscule difference of 0.42.
In 1992, the difference between the two stood at 1.1 meaning there has occurred a decline of 0.68 percent with regard to the Muslim community in terms of adding to population.

The productive rate in terms of birth among Muslims stood at 4.4 percent in 1992. In 2015 that figure fell to 2.6. In this same period, the rate among Hindus fell from 3.3 to 2.1. As per latest statistics, birthing rate in 2016 stands at 2.2 percent.
