New Delhi : The Reserve Bank of India(RBI) will withdraw currency notes of Rs 2000 denomination. The ones in circulation will remain as legal tender only up to September. RBI has called for exchanging all Rs 2000 notes by 30 September.
Exchange facility for Rs 2000 bank notes up to Rs 20,000 at a time would be available from May 23, the RBI said.
