MUMBAI : In  a gesture of  having overcome differences, a Shiv Sena-NCP-Congress delegation-led by Uddhav Thackeray,  will meet the Maharashtra governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari at 4.30 pm today.

Interestingly BJP on Friday claimed the party had support of 119 MLAs in the 288-member Assembly. BJP is committed to giving Maharashtra a stable govt, the Maharashtra BJP chief Chandrakant Bacchu Patil  said.

Patil claimed that BJP, which won 105 seats in October Assembly elections, had support of some independents, taking its tally to 119.

“We are keeping a close wtch on every political development in the state,” he added.

The state went under President’s rule on Tuesday after no party or alliance could establish support of adequate number of  MLAs to form the govt.  The BJP-Shiv Sena pre-poll alliance fetched 161 seats together, but they parted ways over claim to chief ministership in the state.
