New Delhi : Baba Ramdev on Thursday fumed at a reporter who asked of the Yoga Guru’s earlier comments on choosing a government that kept petrol prices low.
At an event held in Haryana’s Karnal, the journalist asked Ramdev what he now felt on advice earlier to people that they should consider a govt that brings down petrol price to just Rs 40 a ltire and cooking gas to Rs 300 a cylinder.
A visibly angry Guru said : “So what! I said that. Don’t ask these kind of questions. Am I contracted to keep answering you.” When the reporter persisted, Ramdev snapped. “So what can you do? Just shut up. If you ask one more time, it won’t be good for you.”
Ramdev then went about his appeal with the public. If fuel prices are low, the govt will not get tax to run the country, pay salaries and build roads, he said, adding that, he agrees inflation must go down.
